Under Studio Green banner K E Gnanavel is producing a movie titled "Biryani" in which Karthi and Hansika are playing the lead roles. Currently, the team is in Hyderabad to shot for a major schedule for the next couple of weeks. Till now the film was extensively shot in Chennai on lead pair. This is a complete entertainer movie hero's life changes after he goes on a search of Biryani. Premgi Amaren and Mandy Tahkar are also playing important roles. Karthi's recent film "Bad boy" was released which was not well done at the box office.

The director Sajid Khan who is an ardent fan of Amitabh Bachchan is all set to work with him. in his next untitled project. In this untitled project will also see Saif Ali Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh in Pivoted roles. The director sajid said, I am making my next film with Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Amitabh Bachchan. It will start in July. The film is untitled and it is an out and out comedy. It will be a big success at the box-office.
Sajid's latest release is Ajay Devgn starrer Himmatwala, a remake of 1983 film of the same name starring Jeetendra and Sridevi. With this film I stepped out of comedy genre for the first time and entered into drama and action. I don't want to make films to make a statement. I also don't make film to gain personal respect. I would rather feel loved by making popular cinema which makes my audience happy, Sajid said.
Akkineni Nagarjuna and Nayantara starrer film "Greeku Veerudu" is all set to release on April 19th along with Nitin's "Gunde Jaari Gallantayyinde". The makers of "Greeku Veerudu" movie has decided to launch the audio on April 3rd at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad.
Nagarjuna plays an NRI (lives in America) who appears like "Greeku Veerudu" and attracts females. His philosophy is such that one can fall in love any number of times. The movie is being directed by Dasarath and SS Thaman has scored the music for this film.
Allari Naresh who earlier done remix of old hits like "Aakasamlo Oka Tara" and "Manchamesi Duppatesi" is now going to act in another remix song of Nagarjuna and Amala's hit song "Swathi Mutyapu Jallulo". Ajay Devgn and Tammannah's "Himmatwala" movie was failed at the box office. This is the remake of 1983 of same name. The movie was directed by Sajid Khan. The movie collected just Rs. 31 Crores in the first weekend. On opening day of 29th March the movie collected Rs. 12 Crores, 8.5 Crores collected on Saturday and on holiday i.e. sunday the movie collected by just 10.5 Crores.
Director Sajid Khan, who is known for giving hit comedies like Heyy Babbyy and Housefull, expected his film to do a business of Rs 200 crore. Besides Ajay Devgn and Tammannah Bhatia, Himmatvala also stars Mahesh Manjrekar and Paresh Rawal.
