Mega Power Star Ramcharan’s Bollywood debut “Zanjeer” and its Telugu version “Toofan” has released today in a grand way. Ramcharan and Priyanka Chopra are playing the lead roles in the movie. Sri Hari, Mahie gill and Prakash Raj are playing prominent roles. Apoorva Lakhia has directed this movie. Let’s go through the review to see how these bi-lingual movie works out at the box-office.
Story:
Vijay Khanna (Ramcharan) is an sincere and aggressive cop. Vijay Khanna messes with the Don’s and Ministers in A.P as a result of this Vijay has transferred 17 times with in A.P. On his 18th assignment he transferred to Mumbai as an Assistant Commissioner of Police(A.C.P). There Vijay takes on Oil mafia don, Teja (Prakash Raj).
Vijay is associated with the investigation of the Deputy Collector’s murder. In his investigation he came to know that Oil mafia don Tej is behind that murder. Mala (Priyanka Chopra) is an NRI girl who has witnessed that murder by seeking her help Vijay completes his investigation at the end of his investigation. Teja uses his influence to get Vijay suspended. At this point Vijay seeks the help of SherKhan(Sri Hari) who is a local goon and the honest crime reporter Jaidev(Tanikella Bharani) to arrest Teja.
Positive Aspects:
Ramcharan has got a tailor made role for his Bollywood debut. He delivered a powerful performance as an aggressive cop. His action is going to be the main asset for this movie. His dark eyes with long lashes adeptly convey anger.
Priyanka Chopra delivered the dignified performance asusual in this movie. Priyanka looks smashing but is overzealous in the American Born Desi Gujarati Girl act. She looks absolutely hot in the “Mumbai Ke Hero” and “Pinky” songs.
Sri Hari also given nice performance and his character looks very effective and Tanikella Bharani has made 100% justice to his role as a crime reporter.
Prakash Raj who played the baddie role in this movie has delivered an excellent performance as an Oil mafia don. He looks very cool and stylish in this movie. Mahie Gill who played the role of Mona Darling is nice up to her mark. The double meaning dialogues between Prakash Raj and Mahie Gill will get a huge applause from the mass audience.
Negative Aspects:
When came to the minus points music will be the first to come. The music of the movie is so ordinary and the re-recording of the movie is also not up to the mark. The song placements in the movie is so bad especially the “Mumbai Ke Hero Song”.
When compared to the original “Zanjeer” ,the movie lacks screen play and the story plot also predicatble. The romantic scenes between Ramcharan and Priyanka are not up to the mark.
The bonding between Sher Khan(Sri Hari) and Vijay(Ramcharan) is not that much effective as the bonding between Pran and Amitabh in the original. The humour quotient in the movie is quite low.
Cilmax scenes isn’t shoot well in the movie.
Technical Aspects:
Apoorva Lakhia direction is one of the assets for this movie. The pace in his direction will make the film intresting. Apoorva created his mark with this movie.
Music of the movie is so ordinary as well as the re-recordnig. The cinematography is quite ordinary. Editing of the movie is just average. The dialogues of the movie are good.
Verdict:
Ram charan “ Toofan” wont create Tsumani in Box-office. Complete mass entertainer. Mega fans will be happy with this “Toofan”.
