The movie stands as a highest grosser in the Indian cinema by surpassing the Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots”. The film’s total domestic collectionsright now stands at a cumulative of 290 crores gross at the box office and has made USD 17.30 million from its overseas circuits.
Though 3 Idiots has earned a massive USD 25 million, the earnings were made in 2009 when the dollar rate was way lower than its current rate. This Shah Rukh Khan starrer made a worldwide business of about 399 crores, beating 3 Idiots’ record of 386 crores.
