Anushka’s Varna releasing on November 23rd.

Anushka starrer "Varna" directed by Sri Raghava is going to release on November 23rd.  Aarya is in the male lead role. Prasad V Potluri has produced it under PVP Cinemas banner.The movie is making  on around of 55cr of budget. Already the film talkie was completed, the unit is spending lot of time for post prodution work because the movie contains lot of special effects.

This movie is expected to be a romantic-fantasy with a different love story. It is expected that both Arya and Anushka will be playing double roles in the movie. An official announcement will be out soon. The makers have initially planned for a Diwali release but had to postpone later.

The audio of the Tamil Version was released recently and the audio of the Telugu version is expected to be out in the second week of October. Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music.The film’s first look got a good response. 

New Scenes Added to Attarintiki Daredi

Power Star Pawan kalyan’s “Attarntiki Daredi” has already became an All time industry hit. The movie has already completed its 4 week run. The movie has already emerged as the highest grosser of Tollywood with in its 4 weeks run. 

The makers of the movie are planning to add 5 scenes in the movie. They are considering to add 3 scenes in the first half and 2 scenes to the second half. These changes will be reflected in the digital version of the movie from Friday. Physical prints may take time.

Earlier, a song was added after 50 days for Chiranjeevi's Shankar Dada MBBS movie and also some scenes added in Magadheera after 50 days. So AD producers are following this tactic to maintain study collections. 

Mahesh Babu is chief guest for Aadu Magaduraa Bujji’s Audio Launch

Super Star Mahesh Babu is going to attend and grace the audio function of Sudheer Babu’s upcoming film “Aadu Magadu Ra Bujji”. The talkie part of this movie has been wrapped up and only song remains to be shot. Sudheer releasing this movie after a decent hit “Prema Katha Chithram”.

The audio launch of this movie is going to take place at Shilpa Kala Vedika on the 30th of this month. Mahesh Babu will be the Chief Guest of the function and he will be launching the audio. AMRB is expected to be an action entertainer with a good dose of comedy.The movie is expected to release in November.

Satya-2 release date postponed

Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming flick “Satya-2” release has postponed to November 8th. Earlier the movie is scheduled to release on Friday. The movie is a bilingual movie. Sharwanand and Anika Soti are playing the lead roles in the movie.

The movie was originally produced by M Sumanth Kumar Reddy and Dr Arun Kumar Sharma of ‘LR Active’ is one of the producers of the film. Differences have cropped up between Ram Gopal Varma and Arun Sharma which led to the postponement of the movie. Ramu tweeted on this saying “Due to issues of an issue of L R active’s Arun Sharma we were strongly advised to disaccociate from him..so am postponing release of Satya 2”.

Nagababu denies the rumours about Pawan Kalyan’s political Entry

Nagababu made it clear through his PRO that either him or Pawan Kalyan have never met any persons the media is speculating.

S.S Rajamouli’s upcoming film “Baahubali” making teaser released today on the eve of Prabhas birthday. The movie starrs Prabhas, Rana Daggubati , Anushka Shetty and Sudeep in the lead roles. Amitabh and Sridevi in “Khuda Gawah” Sequel

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi are likely to unite again on screen for the sequel of their hit 1992 film Khuda Gawah. Producer Manoj Desai says "The script is being written for the sequel. It (film) was one of the most loved films and we thought of bringing it back. We have given a one liner brief idea to Mr Bachchan. We have got a positive feedback from him. Once the script is complete we will meet him again and approach him for this film."

"Once Mr Bachchan gives his nod for the sequel we may go and talk to Sridevi as well about the film. There will be other actors also in the film from the younger generation," he said. The original, produced by Desai, was about an Afghan lord caught between love and revenge. "We are working on the script so we can't reveal about the story line," he said. Shot in India and Afghanistan, Khuda Gawah was one of the biggest grossers of 1992 in both the countries. If all goes well, the sequel might go on floors in 2014.

We recently saw Sridevi and Big B on screen in English Vinglish but it was just a cameo role of Amitabh Bachchan. We look forward to the two legendary actors coming together and impressing us.

Bollywood Veteran Actor Govinda to play the Father role for Ranbhir Kapoor in his upcoming film “Jagga Jasoos”. A friend of Govinda said, "The two had a long meeting last week. Anurag explained the character to Govinda in detail. Govinda loved the subject and has consented to do the project in principle".

The source added "Govinda is not playing a serious character. The role will tap his excellent comic timing". Govinda has already signed two films Shaad Ali's “Kill Dil” and Pahlaj Nihalani's “Avatar”.

Mahesh Babu new movie with Kortala shiva

Super Star Mahesh Babu new movie under kortala Shiva direction announced today. UTV Motion Pictures today announced officially. The film will go on floors in july 2014 and to presented in association with Indira productions.

We are extremely delighted to commence our journey in the telugu film industry, which is the second biggest industry in india after Hindi films, with our production starring Mahesh babu and director Kortala Siva said G Dhananjayan, Cheif, South Business- Studios Diseny UTV.

It is a privilege to write and direct my third film with Disney UTV, that too with superstar Mahesh Babu and i am looking forword to commence the pre-production immediately after my current assignment,” said writer-director Kortala Siva.

Krish going to direct Salman khan

Tollywood director Jagarlamudi RadhaKrishna (Krishh) is going to direct Bollywood Super Star Salman khan. He already is doing a film “Gabbar” with Akshay Kumar which is a remake of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s “Tagore”. The movie is going to produce by renowned producer/director Sanjay Leela Bhansali under his SLB Films. Even before it’s release, looks like Krish has got another huge film. Super Star Rajanikanth's upcoming film “Kochadiyan” which has been in shooting for a long time has almost completed its shooting and it is under post production work. Viswaroopam- 2 releasing on November 21st.

Universal Star Kamal Haasan has produced and directed "Vishwaroopam". After this he started the sequel for the movie titled "Vishwaroopam 2" which is currently under production. According to the sources it is heard that Kamal is planning to release the "Vishwaroopam 2" on November 21st. This film will be made in Auro 3D which means an audio format that delivers a full three dimensional sound spread. Besides Kamal, the movie featured Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Shekhar Kapur among others.

Another interesting thing in the sequel is Kamal is going to add some mother-son sentiment. He said, “In Vishwaroopam we have ladies, but we lost them. So, in the sequel there will be a mother-son sentiment.”

“Viswaroopam-2” will have tunes composed by trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and cinematography is by Sanu Varghese. Chandra Hassan, Kamal Hassan and Prasad V.Potluri are producing this flick under PVP Cinemas.

King Nagarjuna’s “Bhai” has completed its censor formalities today and got an U/A certificate. The movie is going to be a Comedy-action entertainer. The censor officials have suggested 3 cuts for the movie. According to the sources the movie is going to be a mass masala entertainer, with a good dose of comedy and action. Nagarjuna will be seen in a very entertaining avatar in this movie.

The movie is going to hit the screens on October 25th. Veerabhadram Chowdary has directed this movie. Richa Gangopadhyay is the heroine. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Nagarjuna is producing ‘Bhai’ on Annapurna Studios banner, in association with Reliance Entertainments.

“1-Nenokkadine” audio release in December

Super Star Mahesh Babu upcoming movie “1-Nenokkadine” shooting is going on with a Brisk space. The movie unit is currently busy with the Bangkok schedule which will lasts on 17th of thismonth. The audio of the movie will going to release in the month of December. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director of this movie and he has reportedly come up with some very different tunes for this film. After the Bangkok schedule, a fresh new schedule of this film will begin in Bangalore from the month end. With this schedule, the talkie part of the film will be complete.

Manchu Vishnu’s “Doosukeltha” has released today. ‘Andhala Rakshasi’ fame Lavanya is the heroine in this movie and she will be seen in an all new and stylish avatar. Vishnu himself produced this film under 24 Frames banner. Manisharma is composed the tunes for this film. Sarvesh Murari is the cinematographer of the film. Vishnu who scored a good hit with ‘Dhenikaina Ready’  is hoping to continue that success with ‘Doosukeltha’. Let us see will Vishnu continue his success Journey with Doosukeltha..

Story :

Chinna (Vishnu) is guy who ekes out his living by accepting challenges and winning the bets. He always teases Alekhya aka Chinni(Lavanya Tripathi) who is the daughter of Rao Ramesh who belngs to a Zamindar family. Once Chinna bets with chinni’s Brother-In-Law Pichheswar Rao(‘Vennela’ Kishore) due to this bet Chinna and his family was sent away from the village while Chinni have to leave her family. After 13 years, how chinna sorts out the disputes and brings back chinni to her house and how he makes every one realize that love and affection are important than money is the rest of the story. 

Positive Aspects :

The biggest positive aspect for the movie is “Brahmanandam”. The scenes between Vishnu and Brahmanandam are hilarious. Manchu Vishnu tried his level best to fit in the role of Chinna. Lavanya Tripathi looks so gorgeous and stylish. Her look is much different from her earlier film “Andaala Rakshasi” and her screen presence is nice.

 Mani Sharma is Backround score is awesome and one of the best in his recent times. Master Bharath and Vennela Kishore comedy adds some mileage to the film. Some dialogues in the film are good. Kota Srinivasa Rao and Rao Ramesh is asusally good in their roles.

Negative Aspects :

Vishnu’s look is the biggest drawback for this film. He completely fades out besides Lavanya Tripathi. In some scenes his acting is exaggerating and seems like Over action. Kota Srinivasa rao role is not up to the mark. Some of the comedy scenes didn’t work out on screen due to lack of timing.

Manisharma’s Songs are not good except the “Alekhya” song even there are only 4 songs in the movie audience feels uncomfortable in the Theater at the time of songs.

The basic story plot is much routine and resembles many other films. It has some flavours of Veeru Potla’s earlier films. Manchu Lakshmi’s role is unnecessary.

Technical Aspects :

Veeru Potla’s direction is not up to the mark. The movie lacks pace in some scenes mainly in the first half which feels boaring to the audience.  Cinematography is nice. Action scenes in the movie are good and action director takes good care in the action sequences. The climax and the interval scenes are awesome.

Manisharma’s Backround music is very nice while the songs are unbearable. Editing is Ok. Screen Play of the movie is average.

Verdict :

The movie is a routine Telugu film with good comedy quotient. The movie is is  worth watching for its comedy and action scenes.

Yevadu release date confirmed

Mega Power star Ramcharan much awaited movie "Yevadu" is all set to release. As per our close Film Nagar sources, Ram Charan’s Yevadu will hit the screens on 19th December. Yevadu was already censored and slated for Aug 21 release but postponed due to agitations in the state. Now the release date is confirmed on 31st October. All-time favourite romantic film

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. I was a kid when I saw it. It’s the most iconic movie. It’s got a rom-com kind of feel to it because there are a lot of light moments in it. Kudos to Adi sir (Aditya Chopra), who made his debut with such a great movie. The songs, the dynamics between the characters, Shah Rukh Khan’s character... everything was just right.

Favourite Hindi cinema screen jodi...

Anushka (Sharma) and me. She was my first co-star so that’s the special connection with her. She and I always have a conflict as performers. Conflict makes a scene, a story, a film watchable. We have that inherent quality because of this conflict.

Favourite Hollywood romance...

Romantic movies are my least favourite genre. I love movies that are twisted. It may seem a little hypocritical because I am a romantic hero. But from the ones I have seen I’ll pick Casablanca and Notorious.

Ms Melrose McGill. My first standard teacher. She was a short, fair Christian teacher. Now that I am talking about her, I think I’ll try to find her on Facebook. She was the sweetest, most special teacher ever.

First heartbreak...

When I was in the first standard there was a girl in my class who I had a huge crush on. I wrote to her saying, ‘I love you. Do you love me?’ I put the note in her daily calendar. She handed it over to the class teacher, who gave it to the principal and that got me into a lot of trouble. She and I went on to become great friends. We went to same college, studied in America together. She got married recently and I cried at her wedding. The wedding took place on a beach. The whole setting was a little surreal. Her parents were crying and I couldn’t hold back my tears.

They are really, really good. I think they come without the baggage of marriage, yet they give you the opportunity to bond with a person at a very deep level. Sharing your space with a person is very intimate. You get that without the tag of marriage so I love live-in relationships. I think they work fabulously.

Three things about your romantic pairing with Deepika that beats other jodis…

First, we look good together because she’s all grace and I am absolutely raw. Second, our energies mix well together. And third, she’s the perfect foil for me as an actor.

Would you call your pair the hottest this year?

I absolutely think so. When I see what we’ve shot a year ago now that I have some objectivity even I am stunned. I feel like this is some great stuff. I am proud to say that I am one half of a pair that has chemistry that people have not seen in a long time.

Is it true that the lip-lock scene was so intense that you didn’t hear ‘cut’?

I forgot to give my reaction. I was a bit lost in the moment…hota hai yaar!

Is your lip-lock with Deepika the hottest kiss ever filmed in a Hindi film?

Yes, I think so. I hope that there will be no objection to the kiss because it’s a beautiful kiss. I hope they don’t cut the duration because it’s a long kiss. It’s the best kiss you’ll ever see in a Hindi movie.

Poonam Pandey playing with cops

Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey, who is all set for her debut in the south with a Kannada movie, is playing a hide and seek game with the police of two states.

Both the Mumbai and the Bangalore police have failed to deliver her a court notice in a case pending against her.

The case, pertaining to a private complaint filed in a Bangalore court, is up for hearing on October 31. S. Umesh had filed a complaint against Poonam alleging that she had hurt Hindu sentiments by posing semi- nude before a photograph of Lord Vishnu in 2012 for an advertisement.

One the basis of the complaint, the actress was booked under IPC ( Indian Penal Code) Section 295A ( deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings).

The court issued summons to Poonam on November 7, 2012 and on February 26, 2013, to present her version. She failed to appear on both the occasions as she did not receive any summons from the police.

On both occasions, the Bangalore police cited " untraceable" as the reason for not delivering the summons.

The third summons was issued in June this year. On this occasion, the summons was ordered to be served through the Mumbai police commissioner.

However, Poonam is camping in Bangalore to shoot for an item song.

Karan Johar gets threat calls

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has received death threats calls. The head honcho of Dharma Productions has been receiving these threats for the past one month and hence was given some armed security for protection.

However, the case was later transferred to an anti extortion cell of the Mumbai cell brand and it was being said that the threats were from a wanted gangster.

And recently, the director-producer appealed for a 24 hour security cover to the Protection and Security Branch of Mumbai.

The police have refused to divulge any more details owing to security reasons and confidentiality.

About 3 years back, Karan Johar was reportedly receiving death threats and was being given a 24/7 security cover.

After RajiniKanth its only Pawan kalyan

Super Star Rajinikanth was the only South Indian hero who had two films in his kitty which collected more than 60+ crore. They are Sivaji and Endhiran (Robo). Now Power Star Pawan Kalyan joined the club as Attarintiki Daaredi collected 60+ crore share in just 17 days. Attarintiki Daaredi (61.35) also crossed the share of Gabbar Singh (60.55) on Sunday and emerged as the All Time Second highest grosser of Telugu cinema after Magadheera (73.1).

Now the Mega fans are curious if Attarintiki Daaredi can cross Magadheera in its full time run. As per trade talks Attarinitki Daredi had great chance to touch 100 crore mark in Box-office, if it happens "Attarintiki daredi" is the first movie to acheive this milestone in Tollywood. However, Monday (Dussera) and Wednesday (Bakrid) are public holidays, which gives an edge to the film to extract more numbers.

Chandamama Lo Amrutham movie new trailer released

Gunnam Gangaraju who earlier directed "Little Soldiers" and "Amma Cheppindhi" films is now making a new film "Chandamama Lo Amrutham". He also written dialogues and story for "Aithe", "Anukokunda Oka Roju" and "Katha" films.the VFX team will recreate spectacular visuals for the moon and space in general for the film. Renu Desai Special Interview

Renu Desai, producer of upcoming Marathi film Mangalashtak Once More, shares with Debarati Palit Singh her passion for the craft 

What prompted you to produce Mangalashtak Once More? 

I have done a lot of production work in the last 10 to 12 years. During this time, I had mentioned to my husband (Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan) that whenever I would start independently producing movies, I would make a Marathi film, more so because I am from Pune. Given my background and connections, it would have been very easy for me to produce a Telugu film but honestly, I made Mangalashtak Once More because of my emotional connect with this city and with Marathi films. 

When I was looking for stories, I came across this script by writer Samir Joshi. I liked his clarity of thought and details in it, so I decided to produce the film. 

How was the transition from being  a superstar’s wife to being an independent film producer?  

The transition has been very smooth. Thanks to Kalyan, I have been part of several projects and have been associated with production work of those films right from the moment they were conceptualised. Starting from script, story and music sittings, I have been involved in all aspects of filmmaking. So I exactly know what happens during colour correction or in a music sitting. I am extremely passionate about the art of filmmaking and I do not think of it as a 9-to-5 job. Also, I think 12 -13 years is a good amount of time to learn any subject. 
As far as Mangalashtak... is concerned, I have been a hands-on producer. 

You started off as a model, then became an actor and ventured  into production later. How has the journey been? 

It’s definitely different when you are working with someone who can guide you. Pawan is a big personality and I knew he is watching my back, and that he would correct me if I went wrong. 

But when I decided to become a producer, I wanted to do it on my own. It would have been easy for me to ask for his help. But I purposely took it up as challenge. It is my own journey.  Starting from reading the script, meeting the actors to music directors, I have done everything on my own. Pawan has never called up anyone saying ‘My wife is coming to meet you... Please entertain.’ 

Most film industries are male-dominated. Was it easy being a woman producer? Did you face any challenges? 

You need to know your work —  only then will the person sitting opposite you know that you mean business. I know my business. So they do not mess with me and it helps me survive in the industry. 

When Mukta Barve and Swapnil Joshi signed the film, they saw my passion, conviction and commitment towards cinema. They did not sign the film just because I am Pawan Kalyan’s wife. When these big actors from the industry  agreed and understood my viewpoint, I knew I was on the right track.  

And we face challenges in every field. In cinema, it’s even more because here you are dealing with humans. There’s a lot of human psychology at play. People change, everyday they face issues in their lives, so I have to decide when to get angry or when not to get angry with them, when to be lenient or when to be strict. That’s an art. 

There were reports about you being aggressive on the film set.

When a man shouts, it is not taken the wrong way. But when a female boss raises her voice, it gets offensive. Had I kept quiet just to avoid tarnishing my image, I would have done injustice to my work. With repeated warnings, certain departments were asked to improve their work, but they failed. Any boss will sack such people. I haven’t done anything wrong. Because I am a female producer and I come from the South, the whole picture has been painted wrong. 

What do you think of the Marathi industry after working in it? 

After completing an entire film, I am in a position to comment. The people here are extremely talented  but somewhere they lack motivation. That’s because the returns are not high. They need to push themselves a little more, and they need to achieve perfection. 

You juggle several roles. How do you manage motherhood? 

I have to give a certain amount of time to my children. I make it a point to feed them at least one meal a day. Either they are with me, as our industry is flexible or I attend to all their needs before I leave for work. I never compromise when it comes to my children as they are my priority.
